TRAINHOPPER is a fictional coming-of-age feature film that was shot across seven states and onboard a few freight trains; it explores the subculture of illegal trainhopping in the Deep South. The story begins with our protagonist's arrest in Durham, North Carolina after five years of sleeping on trains and living on the margins. Fate provides him with a new path, but will he take it?
TRAINHOPPER is a French-American production. After production wrapped in Arizona, the crew tackled post-production in Europe. This is the first film financed by Studios La Garde.
